BENEFITS OF FET

Embryo transfer is a crucial step in the IVF process where one or more embryos are placed into the uterus, with the goal of achieving a pregnancy.

After the successful fertilization of eggs in the laboratory, the best quality embryos are selected for transfer. Embryos can be transferred fresh or frozen. Fresh embryo transfer is closely coordinated with the Stimulation phase of the IVF cycle, as transfer, placement of embryo into the uterus, will occur within 3 to 5 days after Egg / Follicle Retrieval Surgery. Frozen embryo transfer occurs after embryos have grown for set number of days and sent to the lab to be graded, genetically tested and frozen. Then, embryos are thawed and transferred into the uterus for implantation.

Part 1: FET procedure requires precise timing and preparation, where CNS home fertility nurses play a vital role. They administer necessary pre-embryo transfer medication injections such as Lupron, Progesterone in Oil (PIO) and Delestrogen to prepare the uterine lining, ensuring the body is ready to support a pregnancy.

Part 2: CNS nurses also provide post-embryo transfer medication injections, which includes daily PIO and Delestrogen (typically every 3rd day) for the entire duration of your treatment plan, whether ordered until your 10th or 12th week of pregnancy. This includes continued medication management and monitoring for early signs and symptoms of pregnancy, thus maintaining an optimal environment for embryo implantation, growth and development.

Our CNS Stork nurses provide comprehensive support throughout the embryo transfer process, from pre-transfer preparations with hormone treatment injectables to post-transfer injections and support through your first trimester. Our nurses manage crucial hormone injections like Progesterone in oil (PIO) and Delestrogen to prepare and maintain the uterine lining for successful implantation.

At CNS, we recognize your individuality and unique wants and desires.
